Steel Dale Industries is an Industrial Engineering Company based in Perth, WA. Their website was outdated, and they wanted to explore a redesign. I provided the following redesign. I used Figma and Adobe photoshop for mockup creation.
Design Approach
The previous design on their website was not up to the modern web standards. The following shortcomings were identified:
1. Homepage has too much text, and too little rich media such as images and icons.
2. Design was not optimised to be viewed on mobile.
I followed these steps in my redesign to fix the above issues.
1. Incorporate essential information regarding products, and the company history into the main page. Also provide hyperlinks on the navigation bar to these pages to get specific information.
2. Introduced a flat modern new design.
3. Incorporated pictures and icons to highlight content.
4. Retain the original identity and logos while introducing a modern design.
